Privacy and cookies

Updated 13 August 2026

This is a personal site. There are no accounts, no forms, and no advertising. The only optional tracking is analytics, and it does not run unless you accept cookies.

Who I am

The site is run by Aleksey Dorogov. If you need to reach me about privacy, write to dev@aleksey.co.

What this site collects

If you only browse and decline cookies, I do not run analytics on your visit. Your browser still makes a normal request to the server, which may be logged briefly by the host.

If you accept cookies, Yandex Metrika and Google Analytics collect usage data: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, referral source, and — in Yandex Metrika — session recordings (Webvisor).

If you email or message me, I read that correspondence to reply. I do not add you to a list.

Cookies and analytics

The site itself stores your cookie choice in local storage on this device. That is not used for tracking.

Yandex Metrika (counter 37020720) and Google Analytics (UA-55602207-7) set their own cookies only after you accept. They are used to see which pages are useful, not to show ads or build a marketing profile.

You can accept or decline on the first visit, and change your mind later from this page or the Cookies link in the footer.

Who else sees the data

Yandex (Metrika) and Google (Analytics) process analytics data as their own services, on their infrastructure, under their privacy policies. I do not sell data and I do not use it for advertising.

How long it is kept

Analytics data follows the retention settings in those tools, typically up to 12–24 months. Emails I keep as long as the conversation is relevant, then delete them.

Your choices

You can decline analytics, withdraw consent later, or ask me what data I have from a message you sent. Write to dev@aleksey.co. You can also block cookies in your browser; the site will still work.
